Line dancing is a fantastic way to stay active while having heaps of fun and making new mates. This popular dance style doesn't require a partner, making it perfect for anyone wanting to join regardless of their social situation.
Each class incorporates various dance styles including Country, Waltz Tempo, Latin, and Swing - giving you a well-rounded dance experience while exercising multiple muscle groups.
Benefits of Line Dancing:
Sioux brings her extensive dance background to these classes, having competed as a Highland Dancer since age 4 and won several NZ Championship Dances. As a qualified Highland Teacher and Adjudicator with the NZAH&ND, and experienced in Tap Dancing (BBO), you'll be learning from a true dance professional.
The Motueka class is specifically designed for beginners, making it the perfect starting point for anyone new to line dancing. The supportive atmosphere ensures you'll quickly feel comfortable as you learn the basic steps and routines.
While open to participants aged 55+ (Māori and Pasifika) or 65+ (general population), these classes are particularly beneficial for those looking to improve their fitness, balance and social connections in a fun, low-pressure environment.
