Our vibrant a capella ensemble, WOSOSI (World Song Singers), invites you to join our weekly rehearsal nights during school terms in Wilton, Wellington. These engaging sessions at the Wilton Bowling Club are a fantastic opportunity to immerse yourself in songs from across the globe—think Balkans, Africa, the Pacific, the Americas, and Aotearoa! Whether you’re an experienced singer or just curious about choirs, our rehearsals, lasting 120 minutes, are open to adults of all ages (18–65+). There’s no entry fee for initial visits, making it easy to try out this unique experience. 🎶
From the moment you step into our warm and welcoming space, you’ll participate in group warm-ups and song practices—no solo singing required at first. It’s all about blending voices and building connections. If you decide to join as a member, the term fee is $135, which supports our choir leader, guest song leaders, and venue costs. WOSOSI is perfect for anyone seeking a creative outlet, social interaction, and the joy of singing in a supportive community. Potential members can attend a couple of practices to get a feel for our group, and there’s no need to prepare anything in advance. After your first session, a choir member will follow up about membership, which may include a low-key chat with our musical director. 🌍
