Known for welcoming all players, North Shore Bridge Club's weekly sessions offer fun card play, skill-building, and community bonds in Takapuna. No partner need

Looking to play bridge in a welcoming environment? The North Shore Bridge Club hosts weekly sessions designed for players of all levels. These sessions run on Monday mornings from 10am to 12.30pm, Wednesday mornings from 10am to 12.30pm, and Thursday nights from 7.30pm to 10pm. Each session lasts about 180 minutes and offers a structured opportunity to engage with the game of bridge, a popular card game that combines strategy and social interaction.
Whether you're a beginner wanting to learn how to play, an intermediate player aiming to improve your skills, or an experienced enthusiast seeking to earn NZ Bridge masterpoints, these sessions cater to everyone. You can enjoy casual play in fun social events, participate in holiday bridge sessions, or compete in tournaments. No partner is required for these specific sessions, making it easy to join—just inform the Director upon arrival if you arrive without one. Be seated 15 minutes before the start time to ensure smooth proceedings.
Members pay $6.50 per session (excluding special events), while visitors are charged $10 cash per session (no coins, please). Visitors are very welcome, with limits of six visits per calendar year for those residing outside Auckland or three for locals within the region. This setup encourages community connection through shared gameplay, where you can meet like-minded individuals, build friendships, and enjoy the mental stimulation of bridge. The club emphasises a supportive atmosphere, perfect for socialising while honing your card-playing abilities. Sessions provide chances to gain masterpoints, adding a rewarding element to your participation.
